About the Sunshine Cathedral

Sunshine Cathedral MCC
The Sunshine Cathedral is a denominational member of Metropolitan Community Churches. MCC is a Christian denomination that was established in 1968 specifically to include lesbian women and gay men who may have felt rejected by other churches. MCC provides a church home where all are welcome. The Sunshine Cathedral welcomes all to its home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; in Kingston, Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, and Mandeville, Jamaica; and in its worldwide ministry through the Internet. The Sunshine Cathedral is also affiliated with the Center for Progressive Christianity, whose mission is: To reach out to those for whom organized religion has proved ineffectual, irrelevant, or repressive, as well as to those who have given up on or are unacquainted with it. To uphold evangelism as an agent of justice and peace. To give a strong voice both in the churches and the public arena to the advocates of progressive Christianity. To support those who embrace the search, not certainty.
